Silicon Beach
Located on the Westside of Los Angeles County, Playa Vista is a neighborhood and community that has heavily attracted businesses in technology, media, and entertainment, giving it (and surrounding areas) the nickname Silicon Beach: Playa Vista is home to companies such as EA, Belkin, Meta, IMAX, and Microsoft. The area includes Playa Del Rey and Westchester and features a mix of affordable and luxury housing, office, and commercial spaces as well as open spaces and recreational amenities, all set next to restored wetlands and wildlife preserves. In addition to regional hiking parks, a library, and a police department, Playa Vista is home to a number of parks including Playa Vista Dog Park, Playa Vista Sports Park, Fountain Park At Playa Vista, Playa Vista Central Park, Ballona Creek bicycle path, Ballona Discovery Park, Concert Park, and Steve Soboroff Court Park (a basketball and playground facility next door to the LAClippers training facility).
