Welcome to Venice Beach
Relaxed Grandeur
The famous beach town needs no introduction. Venice was founded by wealthy developer Abbot Kinney in 1905 as a seaside resort town and not much has changed since. Venice is known for its canals, its beaches, and a boardwalk with a two-and-a-half-mile pedestrian promenade. Venice is bordered by Santa Monica and Marina Del Rey. At its heart, Venice Beach is still a seaside town, but the addition of upscale shopping and dining options has made this small piece of paradise a desirable location to reside.
Many of Venice's houses have their main entries from pedestrian-only streets with house numbers on these footpaths, making the area one of the few places to live in Los Angeles County where having a car is unnecessary. Experience the creative energy of LA with the ocean just steps away in Venice Beach.
Parks and Rec
In addition to the boardwalk and beach, Venice Beach offers a variety of recreational services and facilities such as several children’s play areas, chess tables, sports fields and courts, (volleyball, baseball, soccer, basketball, tennis, handball, and football) as well as famous landmarks like the muscle beach outdoor gym, public graffiti wall, skate park, and bike paths. Additionally, Venice beach is home to a public library, fire department, police department, and is the headquarters for Los Angeles County Lifeguards.
