Black Excellence
A wealthy westside hotspot for the black community, View Park is nestled between Culver City and Leimert Park, and directly next to Windsor Hills. The View Park area was developed in the 1970s as an upper-class neighborhood akin to the style of Cheviot Hills, Bel-Air, and Brentwood. One of the wealthiest African-American areas in the United States, View Park heavily features real estate designed in the Spanish Colonial and Mediterranean style. Most of the original homes remain today: In fact, View Park was added to the National Register of Historic Places as of 2016.
Parks and Rec
View Parkhas a main park called Rueben Ingold Park, which opened in the early 1970s. It sits next to a the Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area with the newly Stocker Trail Corridor pathway to connect the two.
